All vehicles coming onto the UC Berkeley campus must observe the driving and parking regulations identified in the campus policy for Vehicle Access to Campus:

BEST Class Schedule

Welcome to Berkeley. (And to San Francisco. And BART). If you are a clever denizen, you will do a lot of walking.

Believe it or not, San Francisco has approximately two pedestrian versus auto incidents per day.

Not to mention, there's a lot of people in a hurry around here. So— be a good and safe walking urban denizen.

The Walk Zone

Place

Bicylists can ride everywhere on campus roadways, paths and courtyards except the time and place we call The Walk Zone.

The Walk Zone is defined as these areas

  • Sproul Plaza,
  • Dwinelle Plaza
  • Sather Rd.  

Time

during the time

  • 8am to 6pm
  • Monday through Friday.
