Every case of stalking must be considered as potentially dangerous, and early intervention is critical. UCPD's Threat Management Unit (TMU) takes incidents of stalking seriously and officers have extensive experience coping with stalkers, developing safety plans for targets, and intervening when appropriate. Harrassing or annoying communications, whether made by phone or any other electronic communications device, might include calls made by pranksters randomly or calls made intentionally by people with whom you have been acquainted. They can include calls at hours when you are sleeping; frequent pointless calls; calls where the caller says nothing; or obscene calls.
The willful (non-negligent) killing of one human being by another. NOTE: Deaths caused by negligence, attempts to kill, assaults to kill, suicides, accidental deaths, and justifiable homicides are excluded.
