As of April 2021, UCPD Berkeley no longer manages mechanical or electronic access control for the UC Berkeley campus.  Please direct all new service requests and inquiries to Facilities Services:

Cal Housing Residents and Employees

For assistance with access control problems (including metal card keys, fobs and readers) at a residence hall, please contact the Housing Office (https://housing.berkeley.edu). 

To reach the University Police about a non-urgent issue, you may send a note to police@berkeley.edu (responses may take three to five business days).

To report a stolen University housing key or credential (card key) or to request other routine police services on the UC Berkeley campus, please contact UCPD at (510) 642-6760 at any time of day or night. Please Note: Lost housing keys should be reported directly to your Housing Unit.
