Effective August 1, 2016, the campus approved the following policy that specifies the conditions under which dogs/animals may be present, indoors and outdoors, on campus: http://campuspol.berkeley.edu/policies/dogsonproperty.pdf
The policy works in conjunction with City of Berkeley laws and takes into consideration the safety concerns, allergies, and cultural differences of our campus community.
Hiring departments, managers, and employees will work with UCPD on this process.
The University maintains a Background Check policy which has been in effect since April 2, 2004. The policy for PPSM-21 Appointments provides details on background check requirements. View the HR Appointment Document at UCOP.
