Students can be a CSO at UCPD

Community Service Officers are student employees of UCPD, vital to running several safety programs at Berkeley, from BearWALK to building watch and night patrol. As a CSO, your work will prevent other students from becoming victims of crime and help make Berkeley a safer place to live. We’ll train you to learn police radio codes and protocol, and to know the campus backwards and forwards. All applicants must agree to work for at least twelve months working a minimum two shifts per week. You’ll be with a large, diverse group of students working late hours and enjoying outstanding camaraderie. It’s a committment, but you can do this job as well as focus on your academics.
